Traktor Ice Arena

The World Judo Championships will take place in one of the most modern sports buildings of Russia – Traktor Ice Arena. This is the training rink for vice-champion of the 2012/2013 season of the KHL “Chelyabinsk Traktor”.

Constructed in 2009, the Arena became a centre of fan’s attention. Three-story building has an area of 25,000 square meters, and its bleachers have capacity of 7,500 people.  Ice-court takes 1,800 square meters, but in summer 2014, the ice will be melted and covered with tatami.

To recap, the Traktor Ice Arena was the venue for big not hockey tournaments: the 2012 European Judo Championships and 2013 International RUSSIA OPEN Taekwondo Championships.

All the matches will be broadcasted on the huge screens, so the audience will not miss a thing. And there is a press room with the most modern equipment that will keep informed people who will not be able to come to the bleachers.
